Required at all times. It sits on my desk at work. It floats in my purse to the grocery store, the lounge, and to the parking lot. It comes in many different sizes, many different scents, and many different formulas. (Not to mention the array of packaging.) I drink water all the time. I also spray water all the time. On my face. My coworkers know this because they see it multiple times a day. I know the exact angle and am accustomed to the perfect positioning of my arm and hand that allows the hydrating molecules to fall on my face.
Face mists are absolutely wonderful. A wonderful micro break in the day, face mists keep my face hydrated even further, which is never a bad thing for someone with dry skin like me. They smell divine and are definitely very addicting once you get started.
While the basic function of face mists is to hydrate, there are face mists in the market that can also control sebum, protect your skin from UV rays via antioxidants, and add collagen to your skin. I've mentioned the importance of feeding your skin, right? This is another way to do it, with or without makeup!
While I seriously have yet to grow my face mist collection, I currently use two affordable face mists that knock my socks off. They have also knocked my friends' and coworkers' socks off too. Let me share!
1. INNISFREE's Green Tea Mineral Mist
Well-loved by many of my coworkers and friends, this was love at first spray for many. Formulated with 100% organic green tea water from Jeju, the mist has a unique scent that smells amazing. The product also sinks into my skin so well even without me patting it all in (with BB cream on too). The product is made with INNISFREE's 6-free system (no parabens, no artificial pigments, no mineral oil, no ethanol, no benzophenone, and no animal based materials). The sprayer itself is also much better than many sprays I've used; the mist goes on evenly and the radius of the mist is pretty long, filling the surface area of your face quite well (rather than spraying a straight stream and touching only certain parts of your face). I highly, highly recommend this spray to everyone and any skin type. The packaging is also not too feminine! Men... come on! ;)
This item is available for purchase here. There are different sizes, so make sure to choose the one you'd like! The larger one (150ml) is a bit difficult to fit in a smaller purse, so if you're looking to take this mist around, choose the smaller size.
2. TONYMOLY's Pocket Bunny Moist Mist (Sleek Mist also available)
The packaging is freaking adorable. It fits nicely in my purse (this is the one that I carry around) and whenever I look at it, I get super happy because it's just so cute! Before I get into this, I would like to mention that I own the Moist Mist (not the Sleek Mist, which seems to have been made for more oily skin types). The Most Mist has a fruity scent that is a mix of strawberry, peach, and apple extracts. It smells dominantly peach, though, which is one of my favorite scents! The mist hydrates very well, and as it is one of the two mists that SOKOGLAM has curated, it definitely deserves a spot in your purse or in your office!
If you have oily skin, I suggest purchasing the Sleek Mist, which contains citrus fruit extracts to control oil production and shine. It also contains peach, apple, and raspberry extracts that hydrate your skin (because oily skin needs to be hydrated as well).
If you purchase any of these mists, please let me know how it worked out for you! I love how a face mist makes me feel, and I definitely feel and see the difference when my skin gets that little spritz of hydration frequently throughout the day. A really affordable investment, I definitely think that a face mist will really brighten up your day - and your skin!
